For American students, it’s compulsory to go to school at the age of 6 to 12. In the US, primary education lasts till 6, then higher secondary from sixth to eighth standard, and from ninth onwards the high secondary starts till 12th.

Graduation

Graduation can be done just after completing the 12th. In this you get two options one is an associate degree which comprises 2 years or a bachelor’s degree which is four years. An associated degree is granted by the US community colleges. And on the other hand bachelor’s degrees for normal and local colleges and universities.

Master’s

Graduation is available to those who have completed their undergraduate. For international students US has two options for master’s one master’s and second doctorate degrees. Masters may be of 1 or 2 years in which one needs to write the thesis. If talking about a doctorate you need to give 3 years complete and in this research paper is compulsory.

Grading system

If we talk about the grading system of the US it’s a combination of 4.0 grade points on average scale. There you will find the letter grading system from A to F. A means outstanding and F means fail. Many universities use different grading systems like A, A+, B, B-, etc. Some might also mention the Pass or Fail category. Talking about the credits students need to attend 3 to 6 lectures for each academic year and each class has credits. Depending on the topic of study, 120 to 133 credits are often needed for bachelor’s degrees.
